Begotten by his father upon his own daughter; and his father, ashamed of the incestuous relations, as soon as he was born, cursed him to be enclosed in a closed basket or box, with rich clothes and many jewels and thrown onto the sea. After some time he was found alive by fishermen in their nets who sent him to be nursed and reared up to a man's estate; by which time he was known, by some of the jewels enclosed in the box, and exposed to sale by the fishermen to relieve their neccessitires and brought home to his father.2 He was the son of Ard-rí na h'Éireann Áengus Tuirbheach Teamhrach mac Fer Uí Éremóin and N. N. ingen Áengusa Uí Éremóin.2,1 Also called Fiacha Fearmara. |
